Upper GI Stent Placement for Stricture
The provider performs a visual examination of the upper gastrointestinal tract using a lighted endoscope. The provider examines the entire upper digestive tract from the esophagus to the ileum. When the provider identifies an area of narrowing, or stricture, the provider dilates the area and then delivers a stent through the endoscope to keep the area expanded. The provider does this to prevent obstruction and allow the patient to eat normally. Choose a location to see hospital-reported price summaries.
