Upper Endoscopy with Fundoplasty
The provider inserts a thin, flexible, lighted tubular instrument through the patient's mouth to examine the passage between the mouth and stomach (esophagus), stomach, and the first part of the small intestine (duodenum). The provider also performs a complete or partial fundoplasty where the provider wraps the gastric fundus around the esophagus for treatment of gastroesophageal reflux.
