In this procedure, the provider inserts a catheter into an artery or a vein to infuse a thrombolytic medicine in the area of a vessel where a clot is present. The provider also performs the radiological supervision and interpretation necessary to perform the procedure. This code includes catheter contrast injection, position change, or replacement. Use this code for a subsequent treatment day during the course of thrombolytic therapy other than for a coronary vessel.
