Renal Artery Imaging with Dye Injection

The provider inserts a catheter in an artery at groin level and maneuvers the catheter so the provider can inject a dye into the second or higher order subdivisions of the main renal artery supplying a single kidney. The dye shows up on X–ray, allowing the provider to visualize the renal blood vessels.
