Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization with Drainage

The provider uses a needle inserted through the chest wall to drain fluid from around the heart in a patient who is newborn up through 5 years of age or in any patient of any age with a congenital cardiac anomaly; the provider also inserts a catheter and leaves it indwelling for continued drainage.
