The provider performs lumbosacral vertebroplasty, or the surgical repair of a fractured vertebra in the lumbosacral (lower) spine, usually involving the injection of bone cement. The provider commonly performs this procedure to treat osteoporotic compression fractures in patients where conservative treatment fails.
