In this procedure, the provider performs backbench standard preparation of a liver from a cadaver donor before transplantation. The procedure includes removing the gallbladder, if needed, and removal of surrounding soft tissues. The provider also prepares the vena cava, portal vein, hepatic artery, and common bile duct for the liver transplant. The provider does not split the liver into multiple grafts.
