Kidney Stone Removal with Endoscopy
In this procedure, the providers inserts an endoscope through an incision in the skin over the kidney or the renal pelvis to analyze the kidney and ureter. The provider may perform this procedure with irrigation or instillation of saline to better view the structures. The provider may also perform a ureteropyelography, or a radiological examination of the ureter and the renal pelvis by injecting contrast. The provider also removes a foreign body or a stone.
