Kidney Artery Imaging with Dye Injection

The provider inserts a catheter in an artery at groin level and maneuvers the catheter so the provider can inject a dye into the second or higher order subdivisions of the main renal arteries supplying both the kidneys. The dye shows up on X–ray, allowing the provider to visualize the renal blood vessels.
