Initial Auditory Function Testing for Hearing Device
The provider tests the auditory functional status of the patient to include sound perception, listening ability, orienting movements, and balancing. The provider performs this evaluation to determine if the patient is a good candidate for a surgically implanted hearing device or to check the efficacy of a previously implanted hearing device.
