The provider uses a gamma–emitting radioactive tracer to diagnose and localize a tumor, inflammatory process, or radiopharmaceutical agent distribution. This code represents 1 or more days of imaging of two or more areas (for example, pelvis and knees or abdomen and pelvis); or 2 or more days of imaging of a single area (such as head, neck, chest, or pelvis).
