The provider removes the urinary bladder, urethra, rectum, and anus. The provider may also remove the uterus in females as well as the removal of one or both ovaries and or fallopian tubes. In the case of a male, the provider may remove the prostate. The provider most commonly performs this procedure for very advanced or recurrent cancers like genitourinary and colorectal cancers.
