Elbow Flexion and Extension Muscle Transfer
In this procedure the provider increases elbow flexion strength by transferring the group of flexor muscles from the medial condyle of the humerus to a few inches up on the humeral bone surface above the neck of humerus. In addition, the provider transfers the extensor tendon down from the lower end of the humerus to just below the neck of the radius bone to the radial tuberosity.
