At the same session that the provider assesses central auditory function for an initial hour, the provider assesses the patient for an additional 15 minutes. The provider performs this test to detect the extent of the patient’s issues with processing what the provider hears and occasionally to identify a site of abnormality in the brain or spinal cord.
