Brain Lobe Removal to Treat Seizures

In this procedure, the provider partially or totally removes a brain lobe, other than the temporal lobe, such as the frontal, parietal, or occipital lobe, through an elevated portion of skull bone. The provider also performs an intraoperative electrocorticography (ECoG) to record the electrical activity in the brain and pinpoint the site of seizures.
